Privacy Policy

AI Task Planner is a planning extension built for Google Tasks. This policy explains what data is used, why it is used, and which services may receive it when you trigger a feature.

AI Task Planner account

When you sign in, AI Task Planner processes your email address to create or retrieve your account, manage your session, and determine whether your account is Free or Pro. The authentication service is hosted on Cloudflare. One-time sign-in codes are sent through Brevo, which receives the email address needed to deliver the code.

Google Tasks and Google Calendar

With your authorization, the extension accesses Google data required for features you trigger: reading and changing Google Tasks lists, identifying the active Google account, and, when Calendar is enabled, reading your calendar list and creating or updating linked events. AI Task Planner does not use this data for advertising and does not sell it.

For workflows that analyze an existing Google Tasks list, AI Task Planner sends the minimum task content needed for the user-requested result only to providers allowed for Google Workspace-derived data: OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Mistral AI, privacy-enforced OpenRouter, or local Ollama. Google Gemini is not used to process existing Google Tasks content. Gemini remains available for “Create a new plan” when the input comes directly from the user’s own prompt rather than from Google Workspace APIs.

Artificial intelligence providers

Depending on the feature and your choice, AI Task Planner can communicate directly with Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Mistral AI, or OpenRouter. For existing Google Tasks data, Gemini is disabled because AI Task Planner cannot reliably determine whether a user-provided Gemini API project is on a no-training paid tier. OpenRouter requests that contain Google Workspace-derived data are sent with provider-side data collection denied and Zero Data Retention required. Ollama can be used locally on your device without sending generation requests to online AI providers. The API key you enter is stored in the extension’s local storage, is not synchronized by AI Task Planner, and is sent only to the relevant provider to authenticate your request.

Local data and Chrome Sync

Preferences, local history, snapshots, and other working data may be stored in the extension’s local storage. When you enable certain Pro synchronization features, preferences, planning profiles, or templates you choose to synchronize may be stored using Chrome Sync and therefore associated with your Chrome/Google profile. AI provider API keys are not included in this synchronization.

Sharing, transfer, and disclosure of data

AI Task Planner discloses or transfers data only when needed to provide a feature you request, to protect the service, or to comply with law. Google user data is not sold, rented, provided to data brokers, used for advertising, used to determine creditworthiness, or transferred for unrelated purposes.

  • Google: the extension communicates with Google Tasks and, only when you enable it, Google Calendar in order to read the data required for the feature and to write back changes or calendar events that you explicitly approve.
  • Your selected AI provider: when you start an AI-assisted workflow, AI Task Planner sends only the minimum text needed to produce the requested result. Existing Google Tasks content may be sent to OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Mistral AI, or OpenRouter with privacy-enforced routing; OpenRouter requests derived from Google Workspace data require data_collection: deny and Zero Data Retention. Ollama is processed locally. Google Gemini is available for user-authored new-plan prompts but is not used to process existing Google Tasks content.
  • Cloudflare: AI Task Planner uses Cloudflare Workers and D1 for the AI Task Planner account, session, entitlement, and service infrastructure. In the standard planning workflow, Google Tasks and Google Calendar content is accessed directly by the extension and is not stored in the AI Task Planner backend.
  • Brevo: receives the email address needed to deliver one-time AI Task Planner sign-in codes.
  • Stripe: receives the email and billing/payment information needed to process subscriptions, invoices, taxes, and the customer portal. AI Task Planner does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
  • Chrome Sync: if you enable supported synchronization features, the preferences, planning profiles, or templates you choose to synchronize may be stored by Chrome Sync and associated with your Chrome/Google profile. AI provider API keys are not synchronized.

Human access to Google user data is not permitted except when you explicitly ask for support involving specific data, when required for security or abuse investigation, or when required by law.

Security and data protection

AI Task Planner uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal and sensitive data. Network communications with Google APIs, the AI Task Planner service, and supported online providers use HTTPS/TLS. Google authorization is handled through Google OAuth and Chrome Identity; AI Task Planner never receives your Google password. Temporary OAuth access tokens used for secondary-account and Calendar sessions are kept in Chrome session storage, expire automatically, and are cleared when the session is disconnected or expires.

User-provided AI API keys are stored only in the extension's local browser storage, are not included in Chrome Sync, and are sent only to the selected AI provider to authenticate a request. Server-side credentials are kept in managed encrypted secrets. AI Task Planner account data stored in Cloudflare D1 is encrypted at rest by the hosting platform. Access is limited to the data and scopes required for the requested feature, Calendar authorization is optional, and changes to Google Tasks are shown to the user before they are applied.

AI/ML model training

AI Task Planner does not use raw or derived Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models, and it does not build training datasets from Google Tasks or Google Calendar data. For existing Google Tasks workflows, Gemini is blocked, and OpenRouter requests are restricted to routes that deny provider data collection and require Zero Data Retention. Other supported online providers are used only to return the user-requested result for the visible feature.

The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs adheres to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe may receive your email address and the payment and billing information needed for Checkout, invoicing, tax calculation, and the customer portal. AI Task Planner receives identifiers and subscription status needed to provide your plan, but does not store your payment-card numbers.

Browsing history

AI Task Planner is not designed to collect your browsing history and does not use browsing activity for advertising or profiling.

Limited use of data

Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve user-requested AI Task Planner features. Its use follows the applicable Limited Use requirements for Google API data and Chrome extensions.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device or in Chrome Sync depending on the feature used and can be removed through the extension, Chrome, or by uninstalling the extension. AI Task Planner account data is retained for as long as needed to operate the account, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. You can request account deletion or ask questions about your data by contacting support.
